Friends of Our Table
Madeline Youngman
Our Story, 2021 | Acrylic on Canvas
Madeline, a native to Indiana, captured Joe and Ginger Millers’ lives together in this abstract piece. Spanning the three canvas panels is a sunset on the Oregon coast with a rock formation in the water. When the viewer looks closer, the artwork reveals all the loves and important moments of the Millers’ journey from when they first met to the opening of their restaurant, Our Table.
Madeline’s process included interviewing Ginger and Joe; studying their special pictures; and discussing and sharing color palettes and her sketches with them.
What makes Our Story even more special to Ginger and Joe is that it was created out of love by their favorite local artist and niece.
AJ Freeland
Back of House, 2024 | Oil on Canvas
AJ captured a glimpse of our kitchen team preparing for a night at Our Table. AJ shared sketches and talked with Chef Joe about his ideas for this piece. Ginger and Chef Joe love how Back of House brings some of the kitchen energy into the dining room. While AJ pursues his art career, he also works part-time at Our Table in the dining room.

Marc Adams
While Our Table was being built and planned, Chef Joe worked at Marc Adams School of Woodworking making lunches for the instructors and students. During this time, Chef Joe enjoyed all the creativity and craftsmanship happening at the school. He also got to know many of the instructors and students, several of whom are now regular guests at Our Table. Working at Marc Adams was a true blessing,, and Chef Joe is grateful for the time he worked there. Marc Adams designed, built, and installed the beautiful walnut bar in the restaurant. Chef Joe and Ginger love the story behind the bar and the local connection to their friends Marc and Susie Adams.
If you have not toured Marc Adams School of Woodworking or taken a class there, Chef Joe and Ginger highly recommend checking it out.
Chris Green
Chris Green’s piece is displayed in Our Table’s Private Dining Room. It was gifted to Chef Joe and Ginger upon the opening of the restaurant in 2021. Chris is a student of the Marc Adams School of Woodworking and friend of Chef Joe.
Emil Pelech
The Orchid, 2024
Emil is a frequent guest and friend to Our Table and student of Marc Adam’s School of Woodworking. He gifted The Orchid to Chef Joe and Ginger. Emil spent over 100 hours and incorporated six species of wood in this sculpture. The blooms are made from basswood, maple, and cherry. The stalk and stem are walnut. The leaves and rhizomes are basswood. The pot is poplar; the mulch is mahogany; and the base is cherry.
John Snow
Snow met Chef Joe at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking and got to know and become friends with him and Ginger. Impressed with his passion for cooking and dedication to his family, Snow was excited to learn that Chef Joe would be opening a restaurant in 2021 and could not wait to eat there. “Given his passion and our friendship, I wanted to give him something to commemorate the opening of Our Table.”
Based on his skills as a woodworker and things he learned at the school, Snow decided to create a veneered plaque of the Our Table logo and tag line, “Enjoy the Moment!” Snow created the design, then crafted the piece with maple and walnut veneer, adding a Brazilian walnut frame.
“It gave me great pleasure to be able to present this piece to Chef Joe and Ginger as a token of our friendship and in honor of the opening of Our Table. It also makes me very proud to see the piece prominently displayed in the restaurant.”
